Greetings, I’m Sharon, affectionately known to many as Dr. Sharon or Chef Sharon, the proprietor of Shangri-La Treehouse. I have been the principal custodian of this celestial space since 1998. For the past two years, I have worked diligently to transform this verdant 9.5-acre estate into a getaway for those seeking an escape from the distractions of daily life and those desiring a tranquil romantic getaway.
Shangri-La is so much more than its treehouse. The surrounding landscape is fast becoming Tallahassee’s go-to place for outdoor weddings and other celebratory events. Come and experience serenity at Shangri-La Treehouse!
What’s in a name?
Everything! Names provide identity and inspiration. The selection of Shangri-La translates into “a place of perfect peace.” It is based on a mythical community tucked away in the Himalayan mountains, first introduced in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton.
